"King of the Forest"
Ceramic, wood wings. 21"H x 12"W x7"D. These wings took some time to create. 1. Soaking the wood in water for a couple of months. 2. With a homemade pinning rack, I carefully bent the wood for the desired curve. 3. I let the wood dry in the racks for a few weeks. 4. I drew feather patterns on the wood then cut them out on a jigsaw. 5. After the firing I attached the wings and the base.
